Brilliant. A stroke of political and creative genius. I find it hard to believe one man wrote this. My roommates and I have taken to saying “They’re in the cave” in reference to someone’s ignorance. Why wouldn’t you take a lesson from this book and inbed into your daily life? What I mean is: to be reminded often of the lessons in “Republic” is a gift. Yes, it’s that good. I’ve taken so much away from this book and I could only grasp a third of it (a generous estimation). No doubt I’ll be reading this again and I really do hope everyone reads something from Plato atleast once in their life, its only a dream that it could be this one.
