Blood Meridian

Blood Meridian

A quote from the book I still ponder day’s later is this:

“War was always here. Even before man was, war waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner”.

Well, What the hell does that mean? War is a greater “calling” than any other, more than being a teacher, more than being wealthy, and more than finding inner peace. War is the greatest calling and man is the greatest at it.

The claim is: No matter where we go or what we do, we will find ourselves inevtiably routing out the enemy. engaging in some form of war with an opposition is beyond choice, its this or be killed. it doesn’t matter who is right or wrong the loser will always be the bad guy, and the winner the good guy.

this book was enrapturing, I loved it, and I hated it. In the end I just have two words to say about it: Holden Judge
